Topic: how to install .ipk without ipkg

Hi, can somone tell me how i can install a .ipk file without ipkg?
I want to install openvpn 2.1 rc19 this file is only in ipkg availible.
But if i do
root@OpenWrt:~# ipkg install /tmp/ov.ipk
there comes the follwing message: -ash: ipkg: not found.

I have v. 8.09.2 Rc2 kamikaze installed an only opkg works, but this is a ipk file.

ok i installed the rc15 of open vpn now it works.

the command is opkg, not ipkg. I think it changed with kamikaze
