I'm trying to build an auto-configuring mesh network where client (STA) can connect to a a mesh node using infrastructure mode to get access to internet. The router has only one radio. I used two virtual interface to setup an infrastructure network for STA and an ad-hoc network to build up the mesh.

I'm having some success but some STA get confused by this setup. Zydas1221rw can connect in client mode, but not a rt2860.

Is there any better way to do this so that it works with most if not all STA?
