Topic: ssmtp (2.60.12-2): broken date

The content of this topic has been archived on 2 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Hi,

don't know, if this is the right way to post potential bugs, but ssmtp version 2.60.12-2 puts broken date data to mail headers:

   Received: by vernon.domain.de (sSMTP sendmail emulation); Wed, %_d Aug 2005 03:24:24 -0200A@

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Marcus

It's a bug that have been discovered in the source of ssmtp itself, so that it is not openwrt related. Maybe a package update, if available could solve this issue.

A fix has been commited in cvs (head). Can you confirm you're still hit by the bug ?

Thanks for your help

ah, okay! Im just looking for a small and esay-to-configure smtp-relay client and ssmtp in that version seems to work very well and I like its small size. Hmm ... will there be an update of the package?

okay, I will check that later. Did not build own packages for openwrt so far. Need to read some docu to build a package from source ;-)

hi,

date format is right now. Thanks!

Marcus
