Hi,

What is the difference between these two ..

openwrt-ar71xx-dir-825-b1-squashfs
openwrt-ar71xx-dir-825-b1-squashfs-backup-loader

Are they the same?  I updated with openwrt-ar71xx-dir-825-b1-squashfs-backup-loader .. does this mean now I can update with the other one if I need to?

Also, my 5Ghz SSID isn't showing up .. I enabled the network and configured it, 2.5Ghz shows up and this one does not.  thanks

My understanding is "...-backup-loader" will be accepted by DLink's firmware as an acceptable upgrade.  If you're flashing from any 3rd party firmware, I think they're the same.

For the 5Ghz radio, make sure you've installed crda and set the reg domain.  See this post for more info: https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php … 82#p101782

That worked, thanks.  Both max out at 130 .. do you know if there is any way to improve this?

I haven't got into that much detail with mine yet.  Not sure if I have that or higher, sorry.  Glad you can access it, though.

For >130Mb I know you'll need HT40 enabled.  But I don't know much more than that.

The discussion might have continued from here.
