Topic: log has wrong time, date corect

The content of this topic has been archived on 3 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

well, this reallly confuses me:

root@OpenWrt:~# logread
...
Sep 25 21:06:59 (none) syslog.info -- MARK --
root@OpenWrt:~# date
Sun Sep 25 23:11:00 CEST 2005

I followed howto in wiki about setting timezones and time servers, but it seems that in log there is time two hours later then it should be, but if i ask with date, correct time is shown. I cannot imagine how is this possible? my timezone is +1, richt now it is 23:18 or me

You may need to restart crond with $TZ or /etc/TZ set correctly for it to use the correct offset.
