Still, there could be ground for cooperation to mutually benefit from one another's experience.

I read somewhere that http://www.telechips.com/ are being sued, thus they provide little information about their technology. However this should not be our concern. The audio under OpenWrt http://wiki.openwrt.org/?do=search&id=audio is more of a side show and directed towards devices connected over USB rather then audio circuitry integrated onto the SoC.
