Hi All,

Firstly, I'm beginner and I need some support for the following application.
I have an ethernet device (for example: PLC) on field. I want to access it remotely via VPN.
In the field placed modem need to support the 3G/4G and DSL communication and the VPN server/client funcitons.
I bought a TL-1043ND router, is it suitable with modded firmware?!
Can anyone help me solve this problem or give directions where to get started.

Thanks in advance.

You can use a 3G USB dongle I believe: http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/recipes/3gdongle

As far as I know internal DSL modems are not supported by OpenWrt, but you can use PPPoE to connect with an ethernet connected modem.

For VPN you can choose between any open source VPN service like PPTPD, OpenSWAN/strongSwan/ipsec-tools, OpenVPN, etc.
