don't forget to set you lan to static 192.168.1.10 or anything different that .1

Power up your router. When the 'SYS' light starts to blink, press and hold the 'QSS' button in the front-right until the blinking gets faster- this command is ok but i cannot telnet to the router.i am not sure if i have set right the static ip. i used this settings:
ip address:192.168.1.200
Default Gateway:192.168.1.10
Do i have to set somethinh for dns or just leave it blank??

is your subnet mask set to 255.255.255.0 ?
post your lan configuration

yes,
ip:192.168.1.10
subnet:255.255.255.0
and im trying to telnet to 192.168.1.1 using putty
When the 'SYS' light starts to blink, press and hold the 'QSS' button in the front-right until the blinking gets faster"
only then connect the lan cable and try to telnet
Nothing happens...I cant telnetn into the router...the 192.168.1.1 is standard???if i changed it from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2 for example, do i have to use the new one??
yes, try .2, but it should respond to .1 - very strange!
if it's not responding you'll need to recover it by serial console - http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr941nd#serial
ok thnx for your time
