Topic: what is the realistic bandwidth req. using G729a with *

I often see bandwidth requirement of g729a codec is about 8kbps. However with bwm on, the measurement of making a call using g729a with iax trunking is about 3.5kB. It looks to me that there is a big discrepancy of theoretical bandwidth and actual bandwidth requirements.

Any one can enlighten me about this observation?
