Has anyone suceeded in getting serdisplib (http://serdisplib.sourceforge.net/) working on OpenWrt?
If not, I will try to make a package for it.

Okay, it wasn't that difficult, I will submit a patch to integrate this in the next few days.
http://wiki.openwrt.org/BuildingPackagesHowTo was quite helpful, but it took me some time to find out why every programs which was compiled with the current buildroot segfaulted on my router - it was caused be the fact that my OpenWrt system is still using uClibc 0.9.27... 
Could you send me your files so that I can integrate them to kamikaze ?

Yes, will send them ASAP, but there a few rough edges that need to be polished first.
Kudos to RItalMan, who submitted this to the kamikaze svn.
