Hi group.

I am fighting a problem with WDS on whiterussian RC4 on two WRT54Gs.
I am using the webif to configure the two boxes.
Hardware, Router 6 is a ver 3, Router 9 is  a ver 2.
The firmware is identical ( openwrt-wrt54gs_v4-squashfs.bin ).

The debug info can be found at:
   http://64.124.13.3/Route_6.html
   http://64.124.13.3/Route_9.html

Can any one tell me what I am doing wrong??

Thanks for your time.

Are there any special reasons for wl0_mode=wet? If there aren't, it's worth a try changing wl0_mode=wet to wl0_mode=ap.

~# nvram set wl0_mode=ap
~# nvram commit

Thanks for the reply,

The nvram setting where done by the webif.

I tried making those changes but it did not work any better.

I am testing by starting a pin from one to the other and then disconnecting the cat 5 cable.
At that point the pings stop.
Is there another way to test?

both sides must be wl0_mode=ap
turn off lazywds, and try channel 6. i had problems with channel 1.

i had same problem between my asus routers (olegs and openWRT firmware), .... bad settings only,
everything works inclusive of channel 1.

check channel, gmode, mode, wep(crypting),  wds settings
