My power LED has been flashing around a day now. Also I'm unable to ping 192.168.1.1 after trying to reload firmware.
I had successfully loaded "openwrt-wrt54gs_v4-jffs2.bin" initially. When trying to reload the firmware I accidently loaded "openwrt-wrt54gs-jffs2.bin". Is there any way to flash it to the v4 firmware at this point?

Try to send the original linksys firmware via TFTP at the boot time, as you initialy did, and if it is not working, then you will probably have to try the JTAG cable.
