Any other direct download link? As I said, I cant use svn here. Because it is blocked by the office admin

You can try with GIT.

As it is there, the only way is with svn or git. No zip downloads or anything else..

Ok I have some free time,I checked out the last backfire revision, updated and installed all thepackages, and the downloads.
So ,once you uncompress it, you only need to do make defconfig, make menuconfig, make.
Remember you will need to download the dependencies for the Linux Host system, as said here: http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/buildroot.exigence

I'm currently uploading, it's a 140MB file

Hi daby64, why when I do "tar xvzf backfire.tar.gz", it will end with "tar: Exiting with failure due to previous errors"???

tar -xvzf backfire.tar.gz
Note the dash(-)!
I have downloaded the file and it's ok.

Hmm. there is no mirror of the packages_10.03_2 tree, so it is only the core Backfire.
