A Couple of weeks ago I create a patch to add support for DIR-615-D1

This is to give initial support to that unit. Applying this patch wifi works but still an unknown problem with the Ethernet that still make that unit fail.

1) I have to redo the same patch 3 times. Can anyone tell me if this patch will be accepted in the future (I mean this century) :-)

2) I am not an expert at all but I can apply patches and build from source so i can verify if this unit works.

I don't understand something but formal support for dir615d already exists in trunk. Did you try ready images from http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_a … ps/rt305x/?

@123serge123: yes, It was me as well https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/10105 it was added a year ago. But With this new patch wireless work.

I think you need build your patch from current trunk (not from the scretch). Reread https://dev.openwrt.org/wiki/SubmittingPatches and http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/devel/add.n … s.platform. I see no differance between dir300b1 & dir615d1 so it's a main reason that support of both is integrated in mach-dir300b1.c (do not bloat source). My patch for support dir620a1 was rejected in favour of another which now in mach-dir300b1.c
