What firmware version? Not all have luci included.
After the 30-30-30 reset can you telnet 192.168.1.1 through ethernet (via Putty or whatever)?

Aktuell Version of open wrt , more details I don't know.

after 30-30-30 reset i can acces via Telnet, when router is in recovery-mode (fast blinking sys led)

edit: now I am at home, so I opened Telnet and there I can see (12.09-rc1, r34185),  maybe my version of open wrt?

firstboot causes:

firstboot has already been run
jffs2 partition is mounted, only resetting files
MTD partition not found.

Hope sombody can help.

Nobody can help? sad
do you need more information that anyone can help?

did you:
mount_root
before you typed
firstboot?

please check the hardware version of your TP-Link WR1043ND which could be found at the bottom of your unit. this will help you how to do the flashing. fail safe mode is available, its link and every information could be found in the page of the unit which is at the bottom of this message. there are differences in the hardware version of this model which should be noted before flashing OpenWRT. hope this could help you.

Also, if you flashed jffs rather than squashfs, then you might be screwed.

The discussion might have continued from here.
