Hi
I have ASUS 520GU router.
Which OpenWRT firmware ( backfire or kamikaze ) should I install on it as I could not find the firmware for this model from http://downloads.openwrt.org
Thanks

openwrt-brcm47xx-squashfs.trx for AA 12.09 would probably be best. I wouldn't use the older backfire or kamikaze versions.
Hi
Pls provide download link

Go to http://downloads.openwrt.org/
Choose Attitude Adjustment
Choose 12.09
Choose brcm47xx
Choose generic
Choose openwrt-brcm47xx-squashfs.trx
That's how you navigate the openWrt downloads tree to find the file you want for the release and architecture you need.

Please avoid using AA on only 16 MB ram devices !!!
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/asus/wl520gu
use backfire 10.03.1

Hi
How can I upload .trx (openwrt-brcm47xx-squashfs.trx ) firmware to ASUS 520GU router.
Should I rename .trx to .bin
Thanks
@maurer--Can you provide a more specific link for problems with AA & 16 MB ram devices. The link given has links to about 80 issues, and at a glance, they don't obviously apply.
I think it may depend on what you want to do. Based on limited testing, trunk and 8mb ralink devices work ok for usb/serial control of microprocessors--with wifi on.
@prakashx86--try the Asus Firmware recovery tool, Version 4.0.7.9, available here (select your operating system and "utilities"): http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?S … 11&os=
