Topic: Ultimate VPN server (SSTP,IPsec...) - need help compiling it

The content of this topic has been archived on 13 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Guys,

I've found yesterday one of the the most interesting and promising VPN projects:
http://www.softether.org/
it supports all of the following protocols:
SoftEther VPN Protocol (Ethernet over HTTPS)
OpenVPN (L3-mode and L2-mode)
L2TP/IPsec
MS-SSTP (Microsoft Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol)
L2TPv3/IPsec
EtherIP/IPsec
I need your help compiling it and porting to openwrt.
Until we can all help integrating it into the LUCI web-gui we can use the windows tools for configuration:
http://www.softether.org/4-docs/1-m...N … nistration

Linux mips32 package:
http://www.softether-download.com/files … /SoftEther VPN Server/32bit - MIPS Little-Endian/softether-vpnserver-v1.00-9091-rc3-2013.05.19-linux-mips_el-32bit.tar.gz

linux installation and configuration:
http://www.softether.org/4-docs/1-m...3 … igurations

Thanks

Hi maurer,

Any progress on this topic?

Regards,

Topic is died ?

As of 1/4/2014 SoftEther source code is available for download: http://www.softether.org/9-about/News/800-open-source

Since I am not competent with Linux stuff I am hoping for the first brave soul to get this adapted and packaged for openwrt :-)

Well compiling it for openwrt is probably not that hard, but making it in a package with proper uci support is going to be a pain I imagine

let's try a step by step approach like let's have an .ipk for test with it's own config file system and after some basic testing we should move to proper uci support.

Anyone offering to help with basic compilation?

You could just try to crosscompile it even without an ipk and see how that goes, http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/devel/crosscompile

I will probably have a wack at it next week or so (because of lack of time my end wink)

Would anyone compile Softether VPN  packages for Barrier Breaker?

The discussion might have continued from here.
