Hey,
there is a community member here in Beriln offering his V5 device for 66,-- Euros. Now I have to decide: Buy for devel or send back. Has anyone opened a V5 box and can verify, that (besides VxWorks) this thing has standard hardware (JTAG?, BCM....)?

Yes, It's Broadcom hardware and it has a JTAG port. I think someone has already successfully replaced the bootloader with a standard CFE.

Sounds promising. Replacing a standard CFE is just the thing I was thinking about. Maybe its possible to put one of those Mini-CFEs on it for 2 more pages in JFFS2 (seen once a 128kb CFE on a Allnet Powerline Adap - works but does not have all features, e.g. no SREC support, no serial flashing which is the death sentence in that particular case).
