hello i just updated my firmware to openwrt i did this steps bellow
1: Download the firmware binary from here.
2: Login to the default WebGUI and flash the router.
3: Wait for the router to reboot, SYS LED will stop flashing and become static.
4: Telnet to 192.168.1.1, set a root password and enjoy.

well 3 steps are already done! but when im trying to login to 192.168.1.1 using google chrom is saying this page isnt available and the step number 4 which is Telnet to 192.168.1.1 i dont underestand it ? how can i telnet ? im new here so i dont know any of this can someone explain or tell me the way and what to do ?

Download putty and use the telnet function
telnet to 192.168.1.1

once you're in, type in: passwd
it will ask you for a new password

Now you have to install Luci, the webinterface for OpenWRT
(openwrt usually comes with web interface.. so no wonder you can't access it with google chrome)

Check this out how to enable it:
