No Problem. I have CFE for v2 too smile

What software did you flash your WAP54G?  I've aleady got a jtag cable made, but I don't really know where to go from there.

Also, any change I could get a copy of that CFE as well?

WAP54G routers are not supported by OpenWrt anymore.

http://downloads.openwrt.org/utils/Hair … ty_v45.zip

I used custom compiled OpenWrt RC4

Well, I hooked my WAP up to an old laptop, got the giveio.sys driver running and attempted to erase the CFE and NVRAM in hopes of getting this unit functional again so I can install the original Linksys firmware.  The flash utility in one of the previous posts started and seems to be communicating with the WAP54G to a certain point.  One the program gets to the "Enabling Memory Writes" stage however, it simply stops and does not go anywhere beyond.

Is there anything I could be possibly missing here, or anything else that I could try?  Please advise.

You need run giveio.sys, and in command-line type:

wrt54g.exe -flash:cfe (you need file cfe.bin in that directory)

if have problems try wrt54g -flash:cfe /nobreak or /noemw

The WAP54* routers are NOT supported by OpenWrt. Please do NOT flash OpenWrt on WAP54* routers.

@olli: You are repeating yourself. Maybe putting a disclaimer to Wap54Howto and changing status of such devices in TableOfHardware from WiP to something more appropriate would be much better!!!!!!!!

@gizmo_0: Unbricking V1 is hard but still possible. Start reading http://wiki.openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Har … /WAP54Gv10 . Good luck.

I am also in need of a CFE.BIN or a WHOLEFLASH.BIN for a WAP54G v2.
The above links do not have them anymore it seems.

Thanks

Edit:  it seems i havent looked at the wiki in some time and it looks like what i need is on there now. smile

sorry for my very bad english....

I have a WAP54G V3.1 bricked after upload openwrt. Now tftp ( with the trick pin 16 on flash SST39VF1601 to gnd at the startup) working and working also telnet,i'am able to upload a new firmware but if power off and power on again the wap or reset  there is't non system to connect with the Wap!the lan don't work and the wireless is on,I can see the SSID but don't connect with this.I belevie There is a nvram or the jffs partition corrupted.I want to try to reprogramming the wap through the interface jtag or seriale but I do not know some things :
what is the Jtag header on V3.1 Hardware ?There's two connectors : one market CONN1 and one RJP1
What is the pin Number 1 (see the pcb up )?There's a pin squared:this is PIN 1?
I believe I am necessary the cfe.bin but i don't find it.It's necessary other firmware? An the software for uploading ?
Can you explain step by step the correct sequence ?
thanks a lot
