Hello,
I recently picked up an E800 Linksys router for $12 and would like to install Openwrt on this router.
According to DD-wrt (https://dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php … 4f50ae2d1e), The E800 linksys router is identical to the E900 router, hardware wise.
Openwrt support E900 but not E800.
I would like some guidance ( files to edit ), required to allow Openwrt to be install on the E800 router.

Correct me if I'm wrong,
I believe what I can do it copy any lines pertaining the words "E900" and change it to "E800"
I looked over the patch: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/2907 and it was essentially what needed to be done
Sort of. As long as the default firmware doesn't check anything else before allowing you to flash it.
