Topic: attach i2c device to WNDR4300

hello,

I have a Netgear wndr 4300.

i would like to attach an i2c device to it.

any suggestions as to how i start with this?

Find 2 unused GPIOs (or free used ones, like LEDs, Buttons), connect a 2-10 kOhm resister between each of them and Vcc, install i2c-gpio-custom. Or, get a supported USB-I2C adaptor - depends, if you can live with the downsides of hotplug interfaces.

thanks for direction. seems you are exactly correct, and this is what i will have to do.
looks like it should be very doable.

(alas, it requires some very tiny, precise soldering)
