I updated the firmware in my WR850GV2 router. It seems to be fine except I can't access the router. It doesn't respond to any of the IP address. I don't think I bricked, but you never know. It had a static IP before I flashed it. It was also using 6.14. I still get a power light(solid), wireless light(flashes), and a port number light(flashes).
Does that seem like I messed it up or just not getting the right IP addy?
Try with default IP:
LAN: 192.168.10.1
I tried it with that addy. The addy that I had before and with 192.168.1.1. No go.
I did manage to get into failsafe mode. When in failsafe mode the 192.168.1.1 addy starts showing on the network and I can telnet into the router. But I still don't get in via http. Once out of failsafe the IP addy disappears from the network.
Is there some step to this that I missed? Some part of the setup I am supposed to do?
Well, I tried it today when I got home. Now the webif works. Woohoo.
Not sure why I couldn't get it to work yesterday.
