Topic: "nas" to authenticate wired hosts: Possible?

The content of this topic has been archived on 8 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Is it possible to use the nas to authenticate the machines on the wired connection?

I'm using OpenWRT RC5 as WPA2-Enterprize AP, so I do have working FreeRADIUS (on windows box). I'd like to use the same EAP-TLS (or similar) technique for my LAN clients as well.

Please comment.

Yes, exactly.

I have some winXP-SP2 wired clients, they have that option for their LAN connection properties...

I wonder what the command line to start the nas should be to control the access through the switch within the WRT54GL v1.0?

nas was written specifically as a wireless athenticator/supplicant, it will not do full 802.1x
