Hi guys,

I was just reading the brochure of developer platform from the company DeviceScape.

http://www.devicescape.com/docs/uwp/

I know, this is not open source, but at least description of their product is really impressive.

Does any body, in any case, use this platform? what do you think about it ?

the devicescape wireless stack is the future of the linux kernel. it's released under GPL and will be included soon.

How did you get DeviceScape has released it as GPL?
I didnt find anything in their website.

I saw this topic discussed on linux-kernel mailing list last monthes, search the archives.

The stack is released as GPL, and after a lot of modifications it's getting into mainline (probably at 2.6.19). On the other side, Devicescape's own wireless drivers (for example their Atheros driver) remained under their propietary license.

The discussion might have continued from here.
