Topic: Does iw set txpower or iwconfig set txpower really work?

I tested these 2 commands to set transmission of of my wifi card (AR9485)
iw wlan0 set txpower limit 10dBm
and
iwconfig wlan0 txpoer 10dBm

but iwconfig wlan0 shows that the Tx-Power is still 16dBm.

What is the problem with my approach to setup tx-power?
