I've built a package of no-ip client and I've tested it in a WRT54GS.
It have a script for init.d/ and other one for configuration.

working on my WHR-HP-G54 successfully, and replace the noip-1.6.0
RM : remember to run noip2conf and chroot 644 /etc/noip2.conf
