Hi,
I bought a MW-313R router with the software in chinese which surprisingly is not the major problem, but lack of some features like wireless client...

If I ask a friend to replace the flash 25Q80BSIG (1MB) with a 25Q64BSIG (8MB) will it be compatible with openwrt builds from

yeah....Chinese stuff..you know ...but its not so hard  to  install OpenWrt..i can offer you a uboot file
