Hi.

Just wanted to report that the Belking netcam F7D7601v1 works perfectly with the Wansview NCS601W images (flashed Chaos Calmer and snapshot).
When looking for the USB id of the wemcam I found a picture of a pcb on this site: http://wanda25.de/wansview_ncs601w.html .
It looks very similar to the one in the Belkin, and the ram & flash sizes match.

With the stock firmware you can get root as described over here:
http://sheldor.blogspot.nl/2014/01/open … shing.html

The only snag is that the webcam does not seem to support VIDIOC_S_FMT.
But I worked around that for now by piping the output of v4l2-ctl through ssh into vlc on my desktop.

Hope this helps.

I have never heard of a brand name called Belking. R U sure it is not Belkin?

The typo was not intentional.
But I guess it is kind of funny if you look up "to belk" in Wiktionary...

Hey,

I saw your post on F7D7601v1 .. do you by any chance have the 2.4.1.4 firmware file?

One of the webcams I bought has some problems and i would like to reinstall the firmware (without upgrading to the new firmware).

Thank you
Nicola

Hi.

Of course I dumped the flash. But I'm not sure about the version.
In the serial comms log was:
Goahead[891]: VERSION: 2.0.0
Goahead[891]: BUILD: BUILD: 17:29:17 Feb  8 2012

I tried to flash the camera with OpenWRT. In the mtd write command I selected All. After reboot, nothing happened.

I get nothing when I connect with the serial connection but even before flashing I was not able to get in on the serial connection.

I have tried different serial port settings including 57600,8,n,1.

What am I doing wrong?

Can I still program this thing without having to remove any chip to reprogram?

The discussion might have continued from here.
