Topic: How to edit and compile a kernel package

The content of this topic has been archived on 22 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Gent's,
my rt3572 chipsatz (Alpha awuS052NH) performs very poor with OpenWrt and Carambola2 device.
The same usb Wifi stick performs very well on other devices (laptop/hummingboard/bananaPi).
Performing means -> very low txpower.

So, I think, it has something to do with the driver and maybe some special patches in compat-wireless stuff.
There are ~30 patches...
Now I want to edit the patched file, and "just" compile the kernel modul.
Is that possible? and if yes how :-)
Of course, already compiled the complete image for Carambola2, and flashed. everything works, without the rt2800usb driver.

Regards
Peter

Hmm, currently, I didn't see how to compile the patched driver.
Can you share a little bit more information?

Thanks
