Hi,

The next version of the TP-Link TL_WR1043ND is described.

Is significant work needed to get this supported in OpenWRT, or will the variations in CPU and WiFi chipset (QCA9563 vs QCA9558) be small enough that the change from the V2/V3 firmware will be small?

Probably not. QCA9563 is already supported in OpenWrt afaik.
