Good deal, and whatever works.. lol

I'm assuming the latest lede image was installed?  Also, the package sources are the same as below?

src/gz reboot_core http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/sna … /packages/
src/gz reboot_base http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/sna … kages/base
src/gz reboot_telephony http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/sna … /telephony
src/gz reboot_packages http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/sna … s/packages
src/gz reboot_routing http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/sna … es/routing
src/gz reboot_luci http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/sna … kages/luci

Did you opkg update and then attempt to install?

Will attempt to install the same package.

**Update ***  Don't --force-depends to install sqm

**PS**

Forcing causes issue where the file system "acts" like it's full though it isn't. As I log in ssh after forcing, file system is read-only mode and recommends I delete files from /overlay/upper and then reboot. However, deleting files doesn't help.

I have these under distribution feeds, which seem to be correct:

src/gz reboot_core http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/snapshots/targets/mvebu/generic/packages/
src/gz reboot_base http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/snapshots/packages/base
src/gz reboot_telephony http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/snapshots/packages/telephony
src/gz reboot_packages http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/snapshots/packages/packages
src/gz reboot_routing http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/snapshots/packages/routing
src/gz reboot_luci http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/snapshots/packages/luci
# src/gz reboot_targets http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/snapshots/packages/targets

Yes, I always perform an opkg update before any attempt to install a package; I still get the same error. Maybe the package did not compile successfully for 4.4.15? Thank you.

I can also confirm that issue exists on my WRT1900AC v1 as well.

Thanks.

Will keep working on it, but doesn't seem I am able to get back to a r/w file system.... However, I did notice /etc/fstab is blank, but I don't know if it was zero'd out where mount blocks is used instead of fstab.

Can one of you copy the readout of "cat /etc/fstab"  please.

The /etc/fstab file is blank here as well. Here is my output:

root@lede:~# cat /etc/fstab
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>

The same goes for me.

Thanks -- for the outputs... Will keep looking

Can you also do a df -h?

root@lede:/tmp# df -h

/dev/root                 3.0M      3.0M         0 100% /rom

Here is my df -h:

I ended up re-flashing as the system wouldn't come out of read-only mode.

This weekend, I will compile new packages and images, and see it works as expected.

In my opinion, this build is far less stable than the previous ones; one of my network interfaces wouldn't come up neither through LuCi nor through the ifup command, yet I managed to fix it by rebooting. I'm looking forward to your new image.

Uploading new builds today -- LEDE Reboot r1261 / LuCI Master (git-16.217.35130-6a11f71)

SQM will now be apart of the basic build. One can choose to activate or even remove if they don't want it.

Old packages will be archived.

@davidc502
Just installed your latest build r1261 on my WRT1900AC V1. Everything looks good except when I try to install Luci Statistics.

I copied the package configuration over to the router. Then tried installing statistics.
Get the following:

No biggie as I do not need the statistics info, just install for my amusement.

Thanks for your efforts to provide Openwrt/LEDE to those of us who are not compile competent. wink

--bill

compiling libpthread, and will upload to the website shortly.

Then try again after opkg update, and let me know the result.

Thanks. Going to a show right now. Will try when I get home. Should give you time to compile and test.
--bill

okay --- libpthread has been uploaded.  Update and try again. Let me know how it goes either way.

After uploading, I attempted to install luci-app-statistics.. However, the libpthread could not be found, but yet it is in the "core" group of packages. Unknown reason why it could not be found though the core packages seem to get registered.

Work around was to download the package from here using Firefox >  http://davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net/sna … _vfpv3.ipk

Then uploaded it to the router using SCP to the /tmp directory. One can also use WinSCP if using Windows.

root@lede:~# opkg install /tmp/libpthread_1.1.15-1_arm_cortex-a9_vfpv3.ipk
Installing libpthread (1.1.15-1) to root...

Then the install of luci-app-statistics was successful.

Still investigating why this package is illusive.  However, let me know if this works for you.

Ah, I found the reason -- It wasn't a part of the manifest and hence had to be manually added.

Just did a statistics install after getting home. What ever magic you performed seems to have worked. Installed Luci statistics without and issues and is running collecting info.
Thanks for the fix.

@davidc502 Thank you for the new LEDE build; now everything is back to normal. Can you explain how I can take advantage of the crypto accelerator of the WRT1900ACS on this build?

P.S: I've tried to install several kmods, yet I get something similar to what's seen below:

 * satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for kmod-crypto-hw-padlock:
 *      kernel (= 4.4.15-1-609c9e184a7f3288da5263f0c7fa627b) *  kernel (= 4.4.15-1-609c9e184a7f3288da5263f0c7fa627b) *         kernel (= 4.4.15-1-609c9e184a7f3288da5263f0c7fa627b) *  kernel (= 4.4.15-1-609c9e184a7f3288da5263f0c7fa627b) *         kernel (= 4.4.15-1-609c9e184a7f3288da5263f0c7fa627b) *
