Topic: Which packages should be ported to buildroot-ng first?

The content of this topic has been archived on 26 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Hi,

developer Nico has asked me to setup a list of packages which have priority in being ported to buildroot-ng.

So what I'd like you to do is:
1. Have a look at https://dev.openwrt.org/wiki/OpenWrtPackageToDo and go through the packages that haven't been ported yet
2. Decide which of those are the most important to you
3. Post the package names to this thread

Please stick to the available package list and don't use this thread to suggest new packages. That's always a different subject and needs to be discussed elsewhere.

There's no warranty that your package wish is going to be fulfilled first; the goal of this thread is to get a rough idea of what's important to port first. smile

Thanks for your help

In no particualr order - these are my personal prefs.  Probably a few others I forogt....  If these happen, I can port gphoto2 and Qt/e once I figure out buildroot-ng.

gpsd - it would be nice to have V 2.10 as well as 2.3x; autobaud didn't work on WRTSL54GL with a USB puck and V. 2.31, making it useless
ipkg
jpeg
openssh
php4
libpthread
libusb
rsync

probably a few others that gphoto2 and Qt/e depend on.

php5
samba
