I need to restore original firmware on this router because reasons

I got the original fm "FW_EA3500_1.1.40.162464_prod.SSA" downloaded

whats the proper way of doing this

would appreciate any helps

Copy the firmware to your /tmp directory, then ssh in and run sysupgrade -

sysupgrade -n /tmp/FW_EA3500_1.1.40.162464_prod.SSA

Or if you have Luci installed, just go to System > Backup/Flash Firmware

I didnt think it would be as easy as using Luci tbh
