Topic: build kernel natively

Hello.

How does on go about compiling a kernel natively on the wgt634u?
The first question that make asks is about machine type, to which I have no answer.

I looked up the .config file in the kernel folder of the buildroot-ng tree and no machine type is selected at all!

How can I do this natively on my machine?

Thanks!

Stanislas

Hum.

I copied the entire kernel tree from buildroot-ng to my router instead of the sources I previously had that came from www.kernel.org and it seems to compile much better now.

I'll update this thread on my progress, in case this is usefull for others...

Stanislas

Damn it's long...

It took 10.5 hours!

But it's done.

Stanislas

Ok, you've proved it "possible", anyone want to try for "practical"?
