Hi guys, I have the TP-Link (TD-W8968 v2) modem router, and i always wanted to try OpenWrt, so today i started to go through guides and stuff, but while i was checking the supported list, i found out that the closest model is (TP-Link TD-W8968N v3), and not mine which is (TP-Link TD-W8968 v2 with no N), so i was wondering if that one would work with the one i got too, i just don't want to end up with a broken modem, thanks! .

v2 and v3 are completely different devices:

Closest to TD-W8968 v2 is DSL-3680, in terms of CPU.

Hi tmo26, so what you're saying is that there is no firmware currently available for my router?, and if so, what should i experiment with or do next?, or it's a dead end here?
