I have a WE800G
http://wiki.openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Har … ola/WE800G

Recently I followed the directions here
http://woz.gs/wifi/openwrtbridge.html

The client behind the WE800G can access the wireless network fine etc, but one major problem I'm having is that I cannot access the WE800G anymore.

I've tried setting IP manually to 192.168.6.2 and 192.168.7.2 etc to try and ping 192.168.6.1 or 192.168.7.1  but no luck!

I entered everything as shown. I think one problem is that I used wan_proto=static etc, whereas I should have used wifi_proto as the WE800G doesn't have a WAN port which I didn't realise until after I performed the bridging sad

Anything I can do to get to the bridge? Failsafe mode doesn't work as the WE800G doesn't read the reset button it seems..

Thanks for any help

Ok, I can tftp images to the WE800g, so the default 192.168.30.1 IP works for a few seconds before it reads the NVRAM and changes IP.

Is there anyway of figuring out what it's other IP may be? Or someway to build an image that changes the NVRAM?

I don't understand why it won't respond on 192.168.6.1 or 192.168.7.1, any help?

What version of the WE800G you have?
What firmware image you did flash into it?

I have a version 1, and I flashed the post RC5 jffs2 image.

Check the PM.

Thanks to Ivoshiee, I've got a working bridge again!

I'm new here and have a brick too. Please - what does "Check the PM" mean? I'd love to un-brick my WE800G.

It means that Ivoshiee sent the solution to EvilDude in a private message. I'm currently looking for answers to a similar problem, I wish people wouldn't do this.

Yeah.  They should post the procedure, or link to the Wiki page (adding one if needed).

The discussion might have continued from here.
