I saw something that might work well for the average OpenWrt router that has detachable antennas. A company has a Wi-Fi splitter that goes between a router and cable outlets in a house, which it places antennas on. So you deliver better coverage in each room with a cable outlet. I guess it's good for people without TV set top boxes hogging outlets. Look for "Coaxifi" on Kickstarter.
