Topic: WE826 is not supported now?

The content of this topic has been archived on 6 May 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

git://git.openwrt.org has a WE826 as a target:

Target System (Ralink RT288x/RT3xxx)  --->                    │ │
  │ │        Subtarget (MT7620 based boards)  --->                │ │
  │ │        Target Profile (ZBT WE-826)  --->

, but git://github.com/openwrt has not.

I need a fresh firmware for my router - what should I do?

Try LEDE. Works for me.

O! Thanks.

I generate LEDE firmware. It's working, but with some troubles. I will look for a solution.

... troubles. I have none. What's the issue ?
BTW: You have the stationary version (plastic case) or the mobile one (metal case) ?

No has any storage: no internal, no sd card, no usb storage.

I have the plastic case WE826; actually no storage, too, but I also had it up using SD-card.
No problem using LEDE, but self-compiled image. Just did it again today for real  hotspot project. Using coova-chilli as captive portal.

I have a ZBT WE1026 - metal case "car" router - 3G access point. I use it on my sailboat.

Ok, I checked "block device" options on "make menuconfig" - and voila: I see storage, have automount, etc.
LEDE rules!

Hi v.kalachikhin have you been happy with your WE1026 on your sailboat. I am looking at buying one for my sailbatt as a gateway to serve my instrument data and other sensors while its on its mooring, as well as accessing internet when cruising..

ZBT WE1026 good for me. I'd like more performance, but that means more power consumption. I no have so much solar panels.

I'm developing simplest cache - proxy tile server on php for such on-line maps as Navionics and YandexSat. It works, but not quickly.

If you use a nginx and php7-fpm - work fine. No performance issues.

Also good work with usb GNSS receiver from aliexpress - via gpsd.
