Topic: Seagate Central

The content of this topic has been archived on 23 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

All,

Whitest the Seagate Central is not a WiFi router, the platform already comes with a Linux distribution installed thereupon (from the factory). As such, I wonder how difficult it would be to instantiate openWRT up on this device. Granted, the device does not have Wi-Fi  it does have a WAN and LAN port and is otherwise a router.

Is this device supported for openWRT?

Thank you in advance to those responding to my query.

According https://www.smallnetbuilder.com/nas/nas … -reviewed, this device runs on CNS3420.

There is one device with the same SoC in the ToH (OpenWrt + LEDE): Gateworks Laguna GW2388

-> In principle, the Seagate Central should be supportable.

The discussion might have continued from here.
