Topic: Incorrect MD5 Checksum

The content of this topic has been archived on 18 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I'm not getting matched MD5 checksums for the AR71xx Generic firmware listed in this article.  wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer-c5-c7-wdr7500

Can anyone confirm that they are good, or am I doing something wrong?

According to the md5sums file located at downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05.1/ar71xx/generic/

openwrt-15.05.1-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-factory.bin
should be
cc32b051113c468766321ed6a7ad6bba

But when running the following on Win 10:
Windows\System32\CertUtil -hashfile openwrt-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-factory.bin MD5

I get:
MD5 hash of file openwrt-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-factory.bin:
93b9cdc464318588b713f03e01349c04
CertUtil: -hashfile command completed successfully.

Also, the certificate for the dev.openwrt.org subdoman is not good.  This has me with much doubt if I'm going to trust  openWRT on my router.

Any help is much appreciated,
Thanks!

Please mind the difference in the image names:

openwrt-15.05.1-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-factory.bin
openwrt-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-factory.bin

Homer Simpson moment Dohhhh!  Yep I was switching between this and a custom build.  The check sum is good now.

Thanks!
