ok -  so I managed to rescue this little device, all i did was change LED function in LUCI gui reboot and it fell over. now i cannot get an IP or anything... got it to failsafe (fast flashing LED) but still cannot access - no ping or SSH... sad
device is here: wiki.openwrt.org/toh/nexx/wt3020

any advice please? or am i stuffed...? thank you in advance:

Update: Serial connector arrived today - will see if i can connect with that.... also seems there is a bug when setting LED to Pwr - precisely what I did.... dev.openwrt.org/ticket/18318 - cannot open this as cert expired - but reading highlevel its precisely what i did that killed the little box.... ffs.

so - next up: finding a PCB short that reset the whole unit to factory default (cant find anything to this effect) OR push on with Serial connector box...

well - blow me down! fired it up with intent to connect serial - and guess what: its all working again! major WTF (£6 poorer for serial USB device no longer needed) mild joy its revived and as ever perplexed how IT "fixes itself".....!

The discussion might have continued from here.
