Topic: gmediaserver doesn't recognize file-type

The content of this topic has been archived on 13 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I have installed gmediaserver and all required packages on my wl-hdd running OpenWRT RC6:

root@OpenWrt:/etc/init.d# ./gmediaserver start
gmediaserver process id 438 starting
Writing pid to pid file `/var/run/gmediaserver.pid'
Scanning directory `/mnt/hdd/ftp'
Checking content type of file `/mnt/hdd/ftp/Groove Coverage - On The Radio (Age Pee Remix).mp3'
Matched no type for `/mnt/hdd/ftp/Groove Coverage - On The Radio (Age Pee Remix).mp3'
Using IP address 192.168.1.220.
Initializing UPnP subsystem...

Any ideas?

Hallo,

I'm currently suffering from the same problem, did you ever come to solve it?

Thanks,
max

it works, if you get a proper version of the "file" package, giving you a magic.mime.

Where did you find the file-package?

The discussion might have continued from here.
