I have seen some references to loading OpenWRT on a Motorola SBG850 cable modem, and I was wondering if anyone has been able to do that with a SBG900. That would certainly be very impressive to be able to connect a cable modem and have built-in firewalling and possibly even a chillispot AP all on one unit.

thoww,
Were you ever able to install OpenWRT on the SBG900? I have a bunch of them and would love to use em!
Unfortunately not. I only have one of these so far, and I have it in use at my house, so I've not done anything with it because I don't want to brick it. I sure would like to be able to install chilli and/or openvpn on it. That would be sweet.
The discussion might have continued from here.
