Topic: can't change new pass

I build my image and when I enter in 192.168.1.1 they request to change the pass.
but I try many times and don't work


Changing password for root
Enter the new password (minimum of 5 characters)
Please use a combination of upper and lower case letters and numbers.
Enter new password:
Re-enter new password:

I use telenet 192.168.1.1  and  can't execut ls but I see that:

root@OpenWrt:/# df -h

I have wrt54gsv6 and I believe that have 2mb. where are my 2mb ?
before I have put dd-wrt and now I build and set openwrt-wrt54gs-squashfs.bin
Now I can't upgrade firmware by tftp and web.
How I can fix my problem??
