do you know about the experimental tree with kernel 2.4.29?

You mean your experimental tree, as seen on irc (20050124) ?

[21:31] <wbx> i got a 2.4.29 bootet. one issue is unresolved, loading the wlan driver on bootup produces a segmentation fault
[21:31] <[mbm]> obviously ..
[21:31] <[mbm]> still surprised that 2.4.29 booted
[21:32] <[mbm]> who patched that kernel?
[21:33] <wbx> me. so it will contain _strange_ patches :}

yes. that is 2 weeks old. the wlan driver is working now and
the patches are cleaned up a lot. After some cleanup in the cache code I will even try to send patches to the linux-mips project.

Does this mean we could expect a OpenWRT release with a 2.4.29 kernel?
