Just got one of these babies, and made myself a LEDE build. What's weird is that the box claimed i have a v1.1, but the stock firmware claimed i have a v1.0. And LEDE seems to reboot just fine, so I guess I really do have a 1.0 hmm

At any rate, am I correct that none of the buttons (wps, rfkill, the one for the leds) work? In addition to the wifi leds of course.

Check type of flash chip on router.
on my c2600v1.1 is: [    0.887654] m25p80 spi32766.0: mx25u25635f (32768 Kbytes)  and reboot issue is present
other person have c2600v1.1 with [    1.030107] m25p80 spi32766.0: s25fl256s1 (32768 Kbytes) and reboot work OK.

I think 1.0 vs 1.1 is only reboot button. On v1.0 looks like other buttons, v1.1 is behind a hole

WPS and reset work OK ( wps, need configuration: https://gist.github.com/alghanmi/4de45337ca517ebe3a56 )
Not working leds: wlan 2,4 and 5Ghz, wan red(orange).

Well, I don't know what I'm doing wrong... but
[    0.877189] m25p80 spi32766.0: s25fl256s1 (32768 Kbytes)

And reboot is working perfectly fine for me yikes - I'm on r2143. What driver is needed for the keys? I've based my build off of your config diff, but added some packages I use (curl, openvpn, some luci apps), and I'm wondering about some of your options (why are you building all kmods for example?). And in ps, i see
   79 root         0 SW   [irq/80-gpio-key]
   80 root         0 SW   [irq/95-gpio-key]
   81 root         0 SW   [irq/96-gpio-key]
   82 root         0 SW   [irq/47-gpio-key]
Which kind of makes me wonder if I just need CONFIG_PACKAGE_kmod-input-gpio-keys=y, but it's 1AM, so I'll play with it tommorow i guess..

Edit : nevermind about reboot, my reading comprehension is lacking right now. I've also added kmod-input-gpio-keys and I can only see the wps button working, which is a shame.

Hi all,

I update to Build r2111, everything is fine (wifi 2.4G, 5G, openvpn, ddns, dot1Q, etc) but just sqm cannot install

Wifi 5G internet speedtest around 180Mps to 220Mps same as r19XX build.

You'll have to build one yourself if you want sqm - it requires a kmod which is not included in Heinzes build, and those in the repo are incompatible. You can try forcing through the ipk, but that's a risky proposition.

I'm quite dissapointed with ARM CPU performance.. didn't expect miracles, but I'm getting on cake sqm (other scripts/codels are even worse from performance/CPU standpoint) on C2600 around 210 Mbit download, with old 800 MHz ppc CPU (WDR4900 with optimized ppc lede build) I get around 180 Mbit (I have 300/30 cable ISP, sqm is set to 300000/30000 limits).. The only sqm script capable of such speed is hfsc_lite with fq codel, but it's broken on 4.x kernel - on 3.18 it works beautifully on both routers at full speed with minimum CPU load.

With disabled sqm it flies on 300 Mbit of course :-)

I'll try R7800 (which has faster CPU), but don't think I'll get more than 10-20 Mbit..

Try to set 307200/30720 and check how it goes.

Nope, I tried up to 500000 on download, no change.. and CPU is maxed out.

How's lede running on R7800 - I hope as good as on C2600 (with usual problems like WiFi LEDs).

And if someone could compare QCA Streamboost (which uses fq codel too and is implemented in R7800 original fw) to sqm performance wise..

Well r7800 runs smooth now.

The difference between c2600 and r7800 should be around 15% according to openssl internal speedtest comparison

@Heinz check this out, maybe it can help you with leds https://chromium.googlesource.com/chrom … %5E%21/#F0

@dissent
Hijacking this thread, but are you running R7800 and SQM? I am doing that and have noticed some peculiarities especially with simple/fq_codel SQM settings. More at https://forum.lede-project.org/t/next-r … 3?u=hnyman

I wonder if there is generic problem for fq_codel in ipq806x

Can someone pls check the fixes by dissent on v1.1, is the reboot issue fixed?

Thanks

Tested on my v1.1

Macronix has released an
application note called "MX25L25635E 256Mb Serial Flash Application in
System Reset" on their homepage, regarding exact this problem. There, in
the introduction, they wrote: "MX25L25635E provides 24-bit and 32-bit
address modes by command definition. Once the device enters 32-bit
address mode by B7 command, command E9 or power-off cycle is required to
exit the 32-bit address mode. After the flash switches to 32-bit address
mode and the system executes a warm boot (power is not off during the
system reset), the flash memory will remain in 32-bit address mode and
will not be able to boot by 24-bit addressing. "

very nice guys! Great work all smile

I check this patch, its not working. Maybe it need something more:

I'll take a look if there's smth more smile

I'm new to openwrt and lede, my previous experience is with pfSense.
Because my old pfSense box was unable to handle my 50/50Mbps internet, I decided to buy a nice AC2600 and install LEDE (recommended by other experienced openwrt/lede users).

Because (I think) it would be better to start with a more-or-less complete installation, I downloaded and installed:
tplink-forum.pl/C2600/test/

All seems to work fine so far.
Now I want to add support for a USB stick, which I thought would be simple.
Most of the USB stuff seemed to be in there already.  smile
I checked the openwrt page that explains all, and now I have all things in place, except... block-mount.
The opkg install block-mount cannot find block-mount. Then I read that the block commands should already be in ubox, and ubox is installed by default. Then I tried opkg instal ubox, which resulted:

# opkg install ubox
Upgrading ubox on root from 2016-08-17-34c597b8f478a4937fa041bf9da988990314ea85 to 2016-09-26-5649c028c426060616e2bd4e7ea83271cd333d21...
Downloading [url removed because not allowed in my post]
Configuring ubox.

dmesg shows a lot of USB stuff, but no sd devices.

Also still no block command.

EDIT: My bad.. I googled a bit more and cama acros a hint that made me try a different stick.
While the original (256MB) stick works fine in another computer, it fails in the C2600. A different (256MB) stick in the C2600 seems to work better!

My bad tongue  I was checking the test folder instead of its parent. Getting it now.

@Heinz, Thanks smile  I was eagerly waiting for your build with the reboot patch. Your web page still shows files dated nov 6. I will check again later.

Hi guys,

I have a c2600 1.1v and until few hours was working fine. But, I had a *brillant* idea to upgrade to the latest version from downloads.lede-project.org/snapshots/targets/ipq806x/generic/

After that, my router start a infinity reboots... I debricked to the stock firmware using the tftp approach. My question is: someone knows which is the latest *+/- stable* version? In this case, which firmware I should use to install over tftp? sysupgrade or factory?

Using tftp method: always factory image.
from stock to openwrt/lede: factory image.
from openwrt/lede to openwrt/lede (webUI upgrade or sysupgrade from shell): sysupgrade image.

Did you keep settings when you upgrade? that is known to cause issues, always upgrade without keeping settings on the c2600 (for now).

I am trying to use the squid package. but, there are missing the package libstdcpp!

root@mulambo:/opt# opkg --force-reinstall install squid
