Topic: Attitude Adjustment (12.09-beta)

The content of this topic has been archived between 19 Apr 2018 and 29 Apr 2018. Unfortunately there are posts – most likely complete pages – missing.

Then I guess you're out of luck with OpenWrt and should use something else. There will be no immediate fix to this.

I read in another thread, which I can't find now, that the raid has failed.

Both attitude and snapshots are empty.

I guess you (the honoured developpers) already know it, but

https://dev.openwrt.org/ gives me a http 502 Error (Bad Gateway)
svn tree has no attitude adjustment

good luck and pain to <insert name of hard drive brand here>
homer

svn ls svn://svn.openwrt.org/openwrt/branches/ gives

8.09/
backfire/
kamikaze-before-brng/
packages_10.03.1/
packages_10.03.2/
packages_8.09/
whiterussian/

well the easiest way to restore it would be to release 12.09-beta2! smile

It seems to be back now *fingers crossed*

Hmmm, I was wrong...

can i apply Attitude Adjustment (12.09-beta) sysupgrade.bin or i should squashfs-factory.bin?

I am on OpenWrt Attitude Adjustment r33482 / LuCI Trunk (trunk+svn9309)

The correct version for upgrading an existing Openwrt installation is "sysupgrade". But your current r33482 is already newer than the beta1 from September 4th / r33312. So, an upgrade to beta1 would actually be a downgrade.

Developers said last week that a new beta2 would be published this week. The server troubles may have delayed that by a few days, but that is version for your next upgrade.

You need to edit /etc/sysctl.conf
Put in 32768 instead of 16384
Also try decreasing the timeout on udp connections so it timeout faster.

Thank's!! It's work.

UPDATE: I reset to factory defaults, power cycled the router, and configured my wireless again.  All is well.

WNDR3700 v1 here.  I was running svn-32520 prior to upgrading.  The upgrade went smoothly, and I power-cycled the device after the power light stopped blinking.  Unfortunately, the WiFi stopped working.  Both WLAN0 and WLAN1 are "disabled" and if I press "Enable" through the GUI they still don't turn on.

I downloaded the "squashfs-sysupgrade" file from http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_a … x/generic/

Should I have downloaded the one from nand instead?

Here are my latest entries in the kernel and system log files:

I did a sysupdate from backfire to AA in WNDR3700v2 and I lost luci.

I noticed that the storage tab is gone.  I can't seem to configure mount points, or elect to use my USB thumb drive as a swap space.  Though I'm not sure it's entirely necessary now.  On the plus side, the "free space" in the software tab went from 100KB to 4.9MB after the upgrade.

What are the changes introduced in the new version of AA? does it have a changelog?.

Mostly minor bug fixes. No proper changelog, so far.

The SVN source repository log gives an overview:
After AA branched: https://dev.openwrt.org/log/branches/at … ?rev=33883
Before branching: https://dev.openwrt.org/log/trunk?rev=33624

The has been no change in AA packages branch, but some in trunk before branching:
https://dev.openwrt.org/log/packages?rev=33624

(beta1 was r33312, so changes in trunk r33312-r33624 and in the AA branch after that)

Thanks hnyman! That is one hefty list that's more than I could understand... lol...

Anyone installed the 12.09beta2 on a Netgear WNDR3700v1 ?

If so, hows the wireless and the dhcp? and is there any major issues with basic functionality of the router?
